To exercise the rights to participate in Mining Activities, MRT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an Australian company awarded with the Exploration & Evaluation Licences through Timor-Leste Minerals Tender 2023. Additionally, MRT also continuously working with other title holders to secure State Participation in their respective project areas.

Lautem Project

The Lautem Project consist of three Concession Areas in which MRT in partnership with the Estrella Resources Limited is committed to carry-out exploration activities.

MRT partnership with Estrella Resources Limited

MRT enters to an MoU with Estrella Resource Limited on 1 December 2023 to secure a participation rights of 30% to jointly carry out exploration activities in three Concession Areas, namely MEL2023-CA-ZA001, MEL2023-CA-ZA002, and MEL2023-CA-ZA003, located within the Post Administrative of Lautem and Lospalos which target manganese mineral.

The partnership of MRT with the Estrella Resources Limited will further be solidified through a joint venture company to be created in the near future. The MRT participation in the Exploration and Evaluation Period is on a free carried basis.
